Treatment
Low-differentiated (stem) cells are implanted into the capsule of the affected joint. The treatment is conducted in the surgical department.
Effect
The grafted cells release a variety of chondrogenic factors, and, by themselves, are implicated in restoring the articular cartilage.
Infectious safety
The cells designated for transplantation are prepared from an autological bone marrow under the conditions excluding their contamination with pathogenic infectious agents.
Side effects
Typical surgical complications cannot be entirely excluded.
